Trint: Mobile Live
Trint wanted to re-create the mobile app on two parallel tracks, a gradual rollout and a broader marketing launch. I led design and supported research to define what mobile live should be, validate it with users, and ship Trint's most downloaded app to date.

User needs were still being aligned with business goals. The previous app lacked a coherent vision, and quality for what it was could be higher. The aim was a high-quality version of what the app should be.
This quarter focused on defining mobile live and taking the first steps to get there.
- No coherent vision for what the app should be
- Quality of the existing app could be higher
- Need to align business goals with real user needs
Goal: define the need for mobile live across enterprise and self-serve customers, and expedite workflows from recording live through to receiving a transcription.
Enterprise customers include AP, The New York Times, Google, Airbnb, and Nike, each with distinct use cases. AP, for example, needs live transcription at the European Parliament.

Impact
3× weekly active users vs baseline
Trint's most downloaded app to date
Goal: 1,200 customers per week using mobile apps (old and new combined). Baseline from the old app: 400 per week. Almost every day we set a new record for the most users ever to have used Trint mobile apps in the preceding week.
Presented at IBC, Amsterdam
Trint returned to the International Broadcasting Conference after three years, with 37,071 attendees from 170+ countries and 1,000+ exhibitors. The mobile work was showcased as part of Trint's innovation in the content space.

Designs
We built new UI/UX optimised by app usage data. Users were recording, uploading, and browsing files mostly in the app.

Building the design system
Created a design system to keep things looking sharp and consistent, and to stop the engineers from staging a mutiny against me.
